Experimental Consequences of the Hypothesis of Regge Poles

چکیده
In the nonrelativistic case of the Schrodinger equation, composite particles correspond to Regge poles in scattering amplitudes {poles in the complex plane of angular momentum). It has been suggested that the same may be true in relativistic theory. In that case, the scattering amplitude in which such a particle is exchanged behaves at high energies like s~~'& Lsinvo (t) 7 ', where s is the energy variable and t the momentum transfer variable. When t=t~, the mass squared of the particle, then n equals an integer n related to the spin of the particle. In contrast, we may consider the case of a field theory in which the exchanged particle is treated as elementary and we examine each order of perturbation theory. When

Regge Poles in Qcd
Basic properties of Regge poles are reviewed. Regge poles are considered from both t-channel and s-channel points of view. The main part of the review is devoted to the Regge poles in QCD. The method of the Wilson-loop path integral is used to calculate trajectories of Regge poles for q − q̄ and gluonic states. The problem of the Pomeron in QCD is discussed in details. It is shown how to use the...
متن کاملQuantized tension: Stringy amplitudes with Regge poles and parton behavior
We propose stringy hadronic amplitudes that combine some of the features of sister trajectories and running tension. By summing over string amplitudes with varying Regge trajectories that have integer tension and converging intercept, we obtain parton hard-scattering and Regge soft-scattering behaviors, while preserving discrete poles in both momentum and angular momentum. متن کاملA Novel Two Phase Hybrid Switched Reluctance Motor/Field-Assisted Generator: Concept, Simulation, and Experimental Confirmation
The switched reluctance motor is a simple and robust machine, which has found application over a wide power and speed ranges in different shapes and geometries. This paper introduces a new configuration for a two phase unidirectional switched reluctance motor/field assisted generator. The proposed novel motor/generator consists of two magnetically independent stator and rotor sets (layers), whe...

T his paper is to study the convergence of per capita income. Convergence clubs hypothesis is one of the forms of convergence hypotheses, implying that countries with the same initial level of economic development, technology, and government policies, tend to be similar in per capita income and thus have a tendency to cluster around a small number of poles. In order to test the hypot...
متن کاملOn an Expansion Method for Black Hole Quasinormal Modes and Regge Poles
We present a new method for determining the frequencies and wavefunctions of black hole quasinormal modes (QNMs) and Regge poles. The key idea is a novel ansatz for the wavefunction, which relates the high-l wavefunctions to null geodesics which start at infinity and end in perpetual orbit on the photon sphere. Our ansatz leads naturally to the expansion of QNMs in inverse powers of L = l + 1/2...
